The Day in Numbers

So, with the rain has come some very strange events. I thought we could recap in numbers:

9:35 - The time Taylor woke up today. Why is this so strange you ask? Well, because since the inception of this summer break, Taylor has decided to wake me up no later than 7:30 am. Too bad I woke up at 7:30 on my own this morning in anticipation.
7 - Number of months it took the man who laid me off back in December to extend an olive branch. I was greeted at my front door by a FedEx delivery man with a package for my company, Roshambo. Inside the package was a custom-designed bottle of wine with my company's branding. Too bad I don't drink wine!

2 - Number of creek beds getting dangerously close to overflowing into our yard, and ultimately, into our house. We have affectionately named them Rivieras de Cooper.

Oh, how I do love the rain.

Congrats, Grad!

So, we officially no longer have a 1st grader and are blessed with a beautiful 2nd grader. It became official on June 1, 2009. Taylor not only got straight A's on her report card, but also received outstanding marks from her Gifted & Talented teacher. That said, all she was really in it for were the Reading medal, Math trophy and Six Flags tickets she earned.

Here are a few pictures from the ceremony...
